Sleep has become a thing of the past in the SPiT LiKE THiS Universe as we started work on our album last month.  On top of hectic days (daze?) in the studio, we have been busy with loads of gigs plus the regular stuff of being in a band.  But please don't think we're complaining or griping - no way! - we love very nearly every second of it!  Anyway, below are the most newstastic parts of the last month or so... 

DAiLY STAR ON SUNDAY
Sunday July 1st 2007 is a day that will go down in infamy as the day that SPiT LiKE THiS first appeared in a National Newspaper!  A million people were exposed to a bit of SLT over their cornflakes 'n' coffee yesterday morning when we were in the DAiLY STAR ON SUNDAY! 

It's easy for bland pop bands full of plastic, fake people to make a splash in the media but, for an unsigned Sleazy Gothic Glam Punk band hell-bent on fun 'n' fornication, it is a little bit harder. Scrap that, it is nearly f***ing impossible - which is why we are so damn proud of ourselves!

ALBUM UPDATE
We have actually started the recording of our debut studio album - title withheld!  We entered 811 Studios in Sussex on 12th June and started laying down tracks.  So far we have done 6 out of approx 28 days getting drums, bass and rhythm guitars recorded for about half of the album.  And even in this early stage, it sounds phenomenal.  I really cannot wait to get it finished so you can hear it.  Already we are having offers from labels for it, but we shall see!  The songs being recorded, in no particular order, are:Sex Drugs & Heavy Metal; Coming After You; Top Of The World; Heart Thief; Down On You; Sleaze Sells...But Who's Buying?; Young, Dumb & Full Of Fun; Dead Girl Walking; Act Of God; Pussywhipped; Trust Your Instincts; Hunt You Down; Trick Or Mistreat...  I am keeping a diary on our myspace blog http://blog.myspace.com/spitlikethisuniverse

HARD ROCK HELL 
We have been added to the HARD ROCK HELL FESTiVAL bill being held between 9th-11th NOVEMBER.  Also confirmed for the festival are the legendary TWiSTED SiSTER, CRADLE OF FiLTH, MY DYiNG BRiDE, UFO, SAXON, TESLA, ViXEN, 69 EYES plus loads more.  Tickets are £150 inclusive (ie entry plus accomodation for the 3 days).  For more information and to buy tickets, visit the HRH website

THE END
Right then, that is your lot for a month or so.  I am fully expecting to be a Zombie by this time next month as we will have finished the recording of the album.  We have a few weeks' worth of recording ahead of us and, however much we love it, they are very long, hard days!  But the end result is going to be so worth it!

I can't quite believe how much we have managed to cram in to the 6 months of 2007 so far.  It has been a really exciting year, if a little exhausting.  Your constant support and messages keep us going though.  We know we are fighting for a worthy cause that is shared by millions, not just a few.  So, keep the messages coming.  We read every single one and, where possible, reply. 

Let's see what we can do next, eh?!
