Cor, a month is a long time in rock 'n' roll!  We've had a busy one - hope yours has been as much fun..  As well as the usual info contained herein, there is a great Caption Competition to win an SLTee, thanks to our heroicly pervy drummer.  More on that later.  Before we get to that though, you must read about the latest tour info (with two legendary bands, no less) plus our bash at being on the telly.  So, sit back, grab a cup of tea (*ahem*) and read on... 

CLUB CHAOS TV
Rather unexpectidly, we were asked to take part in the pilot episode of a brand new TV show called CLUB CHAOS.  Brainchild of Garry Bushell (who you might know off the telly or from The Sun newspaper - Bushell On The Box), the show is a TFI Friday style vehicle to showcase the coolest unsigned bands around.  It was a really great day out for us.  Filming took place at FiLTHY MACNASTY'S in London, which was a great venue mainly due to the vintage punk posters that adorned the wall.  Anyway, we shot in total 3 of our songs, including the bloody climax to "Down On You", which went down a treat.  Also on the show were KOOPA - the first unsigned band in history to enter the UK Top 40 - who did a great spot.  After the live stuff, we were interviewed by glamour model / TV presenter Vikki Thomas who, after seeing us, insisted she wore a SPiT LiKE THiS T-shirt.  And who can blame her?!

Garry Bushell, after witnessing the full SLT onslaught, later wrote on his website:
"Goth-glam shock rock band Spit Like This made me nostalgic for my old Sounds days. Back then if I’d seen a band this enjoyably outrageous they’d have been reviewed within the week and on the cover in a month or two. Happy days…"

and he knows a thing or two, having once been THE journo any unsigned band harrassed for exposure!

CAPTiON COMPETiTiON
I mentioned our heroicly pervy drummer, ViLE GiLEZ earlier..  Well, whilst filming for new TV rock show Club Chaos, we had our photo taken with presenter, Vikki Thomas.  When I was going through the photos, I noticed this one.  Note where Gilez's eyes are looking and then notice where his hand is...

"This lot just get filthier and filthier. Slimmed down to a four piece with a new guitarist on the form of the stunning Cyndi Rott, SLT are now a leaner, meaner, fighting machiner (?) and all the better for it. Unlike 99.9% of the underground bands you see, SLT don't just put on a gig, they put on a SHOW. So all the lights, the props, the smoke, the blood, the sweat, would all mean nothing if the music didn't back it. But it does!"

AS SEEN IN...
Got featured in a couple of magazines this month - which is nice! First up was the ETO.  This is a mag that is circulated amongst the adult industry (ie not available to Joe Public) and it contained a feature on the band and our T-shirts.  Funnily enough, a few daze later, we were asked to donate some tees to an movie of *that* nature which will be shot soon.  And they're not even wipe-clean!

Next was ALTERNATiVE MAGAZiNE who ran an article on cool bands with hearses - and I am happy to report that we took the lion's share of the article.  You can get Alt Mag from all good newsagents!

STiCKER GALLERY UPDATE
Been receiving more great entries for our Sticker Gallery, including a rather macabre one of a dead badger.  Don't ask...  In case you don't know, the idea is that you take a pic of our stickers with an unlikely person (ie a Chav / Vicar / PC Plod) or a strange location then mail them to us.  You can view the Sticker Gallery here >>

THE END
There is a chance that we are going to start recording our debut studio album in May.  We have some time free and so does the producer so we may knock out a track or two.  We will then be back in the studio throughout June and July before holing ourselves up during August.  So far, we have 25 tracks to record and choose from so you KNOW this is going to be one hell of an album!

I hope you've paid attention to the live reviews we've been getting.  It's a shame that, in the UK, if you look good, people assume you can't perform well.  In most cases, that may be true but not with us.  Yes, we look good, make the stage look amazing and use macabre props BUT we can rock out with the best of them!  We are constantly surprising people - and ourselves - with our performances so check out our gig guide and come along to see for yourself.
