Well, well, well... It is never a dull moment in SPiT LiKE THiS Land!  No sooner do we finalise the deal to get our debut studio album recorded, we lose a band member.  Typical!  Things never run smoothly when you want them to.  So far, the studio has been hit by a flood, then we parted ways with our guitarist and, the icing on the cake was our drummer ended up in prison, albeit briefly, just last week!!  But, we are back on track and fighting fit apart from this one thing...

GUiTARiST WANTED!
Yes, the big news this month is that a vacancy has arisen for a Lead Guitar player for SPiT LiKE THiS.  Are you a guitar player?  Do you know one that would fit in??  We have gigs lined up and we're about to start work on an album.  You should be ideally aged 22-30 with some experience, gear, transport and image.  We are located near Gatwick in Surrey (halfway between London and Brighton) so, if you live nearby and fit the bill, CLiCK ON THiS LiNK for full details and how to apply >>

So, what happened to Stevie then?  Well, simple really, he no longer wanted to be in a band and decided to concentrate on establishing himself as a solo six-stringer.  I'm sure you will join us in wishing him all the best in his new endeavors.  Good luck Stevie!

We have uploaded to the Gallery shots from our recent show at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill.  The stage looked absolutely awesome that night, so do check them out!

ViCTiM OF OUR OWN SUCCESS!
We were forced last week to move both our smellyourmum.com merch site plus the spitlikethis.com site over to their own dedicated servers!  Up until now, we have been on shared servers but the traffic we generate was clogging the system so we got evicted - smellyourmum.com is on nearly 6 million hits!!  The great news is that everything runs much smoother and faster now.

Obviously, with the latest developments, we had to cancel a few gigs.  Below are gigs that we *should* be playing, either with a stand-in or with the new guitarist.  We have rehearsed with a stand-in and have auditioned several guitarists but have yet to make any decisions.  Before travelling, please double check on our site to make sure it is still on!

THE END BiT...!
Keeping the Noizletter short 'n' sweet today - mainly wanted to get it out to get some Guitarist applications in.  I cannot stress what a GREAT opportunity it is for the right person.  We have the studio lined up, the producer, a string of labels - we just need the guitarist.  We could get a stand-in for it but, ideally, we want the new guy to be on the album.  We are starting work on it soon which is why I wanted to get the message out!  Details on where to send your applications are here!

Keep an eye on the site to be kept up-to-date with news and gigs as it happens.  The site will be going through a major overhaul soon ready for 2007.  We start work on the album in November (working title "A Disaster In The Making") and we will start appearing in the press again come the New Year.

Once the album is finished and licensing is in place, we will start booking tours to take us around the country and overseas to start heavy promotion on it.  

We have turned a corner in the UK music scene.  Somewhen, somehow, when we weren't looking or expecting it, we have become established.  Just recently, we've were described as being a "Cult band".  We were also described as Legendary!  Two phrases we only ever dreamt about hearing.  It feels like we have finally arrived and that is pretty exciting stuff!  And I put that down to our tenacity and your dedication to the SLT cause.  Whether you've just discovered us or have been around since day one, your passion constantly amazes us all.  You keep us going when times are tough and, for that, we thank you.
