well, hello there!,

yes, it's that time again... the first of the month so a quick update of what's been going on in the spit like this & smell your mum universe. yet again, it's been hectic and, yet again, we are marching forwards towards our ultimate goals and, yet again, it's you we have to thank for it!! i must apologise in advance if this month's newsletter isn't quite as coherent as normal - we had a bit of a party here at the hq last night and i'm suffering a bit today...

a quick word about spam... this is something we're not into. if you have received this mailing it is because either a) you joined the mailing list, dummy! b) you contacted us for a free sticker c) you're on our street team d) you've bought something from us at some point over the last few months. so, that's fair enough. each and every one of you contacted us first. however, if you want to remove yourself (in the process, of course, you will be left to burn in a smouldering pit of your own fecal matter), just click on the link at the very bottom of the page...

that is the date to put in your diary! if you live anywhere near london, please come down and see us play the metro club on oxford st (opposite virgin megastore, i think you get off the tottenham court road tube). there are three other bands playing and it only costs a fiver to get in. the doors open at 7.30.

after that show, we will announce some more dates. to keep an eye on our shows, you need to go to the tour section of our webshite. i'll bung the url below. a gig can come along at any time so do check back often!!

this is not a definite yet, but we have been offered a last minute chance to appear at the donington download festival, to be held at donington park may 31st / june 1st. there are a couple of thingz depending on it happening so, if you want to know for definite, you'll have to keep an eye on our news page.

i know we mentioned it last month but the site had a couple of problemz so, just to make sure no-one misses it, missminx.com's interview with vikki spit is now live on their site! and what a great interview it is too! on top of that, vikki compiled her own compilation tape for the site - 'music to kick westlife repeatedly in the bollocks to' - so go check out what songs you need to bung on a c90 just in case you happen across that bunch of irish twats!

a big big thanx must go to jenny, webmistress of missminx.com for putting the whole thing together. i'm hoping we get to do much more with her and, mebbe, she'll make me an honorary rock chick or something!!

as you should know by now, we are completely against manufactured music of any kind. it is abhorrant and it is destroying the industry. but, unlike most pussy bands out there, we are actively taking a stand by targeting the very people most other bands suck up to!

so, our target this month is girls aloud - winners of pop stars the rivals. as you may or may not know, one of them got charged recently for 'racially aggravated assault'. therefore, not being the kind of person to jump to conclusions, she must be a piece of nazi scum! we don't tolerate that kind of thing around here so we have a little game for you - spot the nazi!! check out the picture and see if you can spot the race hater!!!

we are just a couple of weeks away from getting our hearse - you can have a sneaky peak of what it's roughly going to look like when it's finished. we've bought the thing, just got to liven it up a bit! obviously, when it's done we'll let you know but, for the meantime, check this out!!!!

the damned / whitby goth festival

there's a chance that we'll be playing with rock legends the damned in the next couple of weeks at camden palace, london. this is a 'to be confirmed' thing so keep an eye on our news and tour pages...

we have been confirmed for an appearance at the whitby goth festival held twice a year in, um, whitby! birth place of dracula, no less. our appearance will occur at some point in 2004 so it's a while back yet but we're chuffed about it - about 50,000 people attend every year - that's a hell of a lot of new people to convert!!

currently on the decks at rock clubs around london - our 'anarchy for two' cd! we've been getting amazing feedback from dj's around the country and london's infamous intrepid fox pub regularly gets requests for slt. we're also on the playlist at decadence in gossips and will soon have a residency at the devonshire arms, camden. watch this space!!

we don't have all the info at the moment, but there's quite a few things happening on the smell your mum front. we've had a hell of a lot of media attention and we're just sorting out a major competition with a national publication as we speak. we've even made our way onto a cable access channel over in the usa! don't ask how - this shit just spreads like wildfire!!

we're going to be doing a new run of stickers soon. although we love the big ones, they cost us a fortune to make and send out. we've given away over 6,000 so far! so, in the next few weeks we're gonna get 10,000 smaller one's made for you to plaster everywhere. if you want some, give it a couple of weeks then get in touch. to keep abreast of the latest smell your mum news, bookmark the link below.

we're hoping to have some very major news over the next couple of months. we're sworn to secrecy at the moment but, let's just say, it has something to do with some record companies and your favourite bunch of degenerates. seems like our determination and persistence is paying off and it seems like our massive street team are doing a splendid job! we're regularly getting recognised in the streets and spit like this is becoming a well known name in rock circles. you wanna know what this record company thinks?? that we're gonna be as big as guns n roses were!

and aren't you the lucky ones??! here at the beginning to watch this grow and, for a lot of you, actually having a helping hand in making it happen. hope it makes ya proud - we sure as hell are proud of ya! sheesh, i'm getting all soppy now!!
