YEAH, OK, I
know the start of the New Year was a few weeks back now but we have been
busy busy people, so please excuse our belated wishes - here's hoping 2006
will be as great for you as it is shaping up for us. We're only 3
weeks in and already so much has happened!
First up, I
must talk about SPAM. Not that yucky processed meat stuff but spam
of the email kind. If you are receiving this, is it because you have
contacted either SPiT LiKE THiS or SMELL YOUR MUM. If
you don't want to receive it, there is some kind of link at the bottom to
remove yourself. It is that simple. Of course, to remove
yourself would be foolish but, if you are not our kinda people, we don't
want you anyway.
BiZARRE /
TOTAL GUiTAR!!
Yes, we have been going on about it for a while but the daze finally
arrived! Just before the end of 2005, BiZARRE
MAG hit the shelvez featuring one of the most outrageous interviews
ever put to print with me 'n' Vikki. It really is well worth the
cover price and, not only that, there is a great picture of us too!
Quite a coup, too, getting a full page in Bizarre - after all, they are
non-genre specific so have about a kazillion bands to choose from yet they
chose us!! Also out now is TOTAL
GUiTAR magazine with a great interview with Stevie and Vikki. I
wish I could scribble out here some of the highlights but, if I do, you
just know this email will dive right into your junk box! So, I would
just recommend that you go out and buy it. Well, in fact, I would
recommend you buy both of them - available in most decent newsagents and
from their sites too! 
COMiNG UP
IN 2006!!
On the mag front, we have a massive interview / feature in POWERPLAY
MAGAZiNE (UK) which will be out within the next couple of weeks I
think. Also in the Spring we will feature in a brand new lads mag
called HOT! MAGAZiNE (UK) and there will also be several features and
interviews in the Italian magazine FLASH! All details will be on our
site when they happen... SCARY
TALES: THE COLLECTiON!!
Put March 20th in your diary - it is the day that we release our album
SCARY TALES: THE COLLECTiON. As the name implies, this is the
difinitive SPiT LiKE THiS collection featuring no less than 21 tracks
spanning 77 minutes - all remixed and remastered - all for the price of a
bottle of Vodka! The album will be on National release 20th March
although you should be able to start pre-ordering in a couple of weeks -
the catalogue number is CDBUT666.
It'll be available in all good record shops as well as online in places
like Amazon (the website as opposed to the jungle). All the proceeds
from this album will go towards our full length studio album that we will
be starting to record in the Spring. So, rest assured in the
knowledge that, yet again, you will be becoming part of SPiT LiKE THiStory
as, by buying a copy, you are paying for some studio time! Good on
ya! Apart from massive amounts of music, it will have a reversable
sleeve, an 8 page booklet full of never-before-seen stuff and anything
else we can think of to offer you value for money! And here is a
sneaky peak of what it's gonna look like...

STREET
One of the straaaaangest bits of news from the last month or so is that
SPiT LiKE THiS got a mention on Coronation Street! Strange but
true. I never watch the thing but, apparently, there are two Goth
kids on it and they were discussing what they were going to listen to that
night when one of them said "SPiT LiKE THiS"!! A strange
endorsement from one of the best known and loved TV soaps of all
time. Maybe they should invite us on for a guest appearance or
something!

We're beginning to book some gigs for 2006 - we're trying out new places
that we've never been to before. We want to hit small towns and give
some of the people that don't get a chance to see so much live music a
taste of SPiT LiKE THiS. Obviously we will be playing the big towns
and cities too but the priority for 2006 is the road less travelled.

On January 4th we entered 818
Studios with producer ROGER TEBBUTT to spend a day tinkering around to
see what we came up with. As you know, in the Spring we will be
holing ourselves up for a few months to record our as yet untitled studio
album so we thought we should check out both the potential studio and
producer. And both worked out just superbly!! So much
so, in fact, that we have uploaded a small MP3
SAMPLE of one of the tracks. Check it out! ROADiE
/ DRiVER WANTED!!
We are looking for a Roadie / Driver to help us out in 2006. You
gotta have a clean license, not get yourself wasted before driving us
around, be able to lug gear around and put it in the right places, help
set up our stage, have the odd order barked at you and remain a jolly
happy chap. If you think you're the right person and live in the
Surrey / Sussex area, drop us a line. FiLMMAKER

We are looking into the notion of doing a SPiT LiKE THiS rockumentary in
2006 for inclusion on a forthcoming DVD and for serialization on our
website. I know there are lots of creative types out there doing
film courses etc so, if you can get yourself over to us at the drop of a
hat, are good at sitting around filming idiot rock stars and then even
better at editing it all together to make them look like geniuses, get in
touch. Short notice calls will mean that you should probably be
around the Surrey / Sussex area.
