17th October Gig Announcement: We have been asked to play ANTFEST 2008 - for fans of 80's Punk/New Wave legends, ADAM AND THE ANTZ & ADAM ANT himself. 15th October Gig Announcement: We have been asked by ViSiBLE NOiSE RECORDS to play their SUBVERSE club on SUN 4th NOV.  The show is at THE UNDERWORLD, CAMDEN, LONDON and it is a matinee show starting at 2pm.  It is ALL AGES - under 18's pay £4 entry, over 18's £5 entry.  We have a gig in Milton Keynes on the same day so we will be on first - make sure you are there early!  Also playing are ZOMBiNA & THE SKELETONES and DRAGSTER

15th October Gig Cancellation: We have pulled out of the planned gig at the PURPLE TURTLE on 30th OCT.  Anyone that was planning on coming to see us should come to THE UNDERWORLD on 4th NOV instead (see above!)

9th October Massive thank you to EMG PiCKUPS for sending ViKKi two sets of their EMG-35P4 Pickups as part of her endorsement deal with them.  They have been duly installed on her bass - and sound amazing!!

7th October We have started a group on FACEBOOK.  It is early days and I am still getting to grips with it but join it! 

6th October God, this is scary... Someone has used SLT in their school coursework!  Their assignment was to do a report on Entertainment and Promotions and we were key to their presentation.  You can view it here (scroll down to number 10)

6th October Read my BLOG - it has just been updated with a (lengthy!) report on the Mastering of our album

6th October It's very strange for us when we venture to a new town or city to pick up a local newspaper and find ourselves staring back from the pages within... BUT, it is happening more and more lately.  Great article in Peterborough Today yesterday - there is an online version here 

4th October We have posted 4 TRACKS from our newly completed album on our MYSPACE page.  Enjoy them and add them to your OWN Myspace page!  Zat iz an order!!

4th October Yesterday, Wednesday 3rd October, our album was finally finished.  Last week we had our final 4 days' mixing in the studio [READ BLOG] and, yesterday, we had all 13 tracks Mastered in a 9 hour session.  They sound phenomenal.  We are tired, pretty emotional but very happy.  I will blog about the Mastering soon.  We now enter discussions with various labels worldwide for the Licensing Rights for the album.  We are fortunate to have several interested parties so we will, of course, keep you all posted.

9th September Gig Announcement: We are playing at the FACE BAR, READiNG on SAT 8th DEC for DEVOLUTiON MAGAZiNE'S XMAS PARTY!  Along with us there are "fashion show stuff, more bands, burlesque performers, freebies and Xmas hamper raffle giveaways!"  You get all this for just £5 starting at 1.30pm until 2am!

6th September As part of her endorsement deal with PEAVEY, ViKKi will be appearing on the Peavey stand at the 2008 DOWNLOAD FESTiVAL.  We are looking to be playing the festival anyway, but it will be a good chance for you to come along and say hello!

1st September Gig Cancellation: We have had to pull out of our gig at the MI BAR in FALMOUTH on 12th SEPT due to GiLEZ's dodgy past!  Various dirving convictions culminated in him being ordered to attend a driving rehabilitation programme that starts the same day.  He's already blown out two of these and, because we have VERY big things coming up next year, we figured it best he gets it out of the way.  Big apologies to everyone that was looking forward to seeing us - we hope to reschedule for next year!

AUGUST 2007
24th August Gig Announcement: We have been asked to play at SKiN DEEP MAGAZiNE'S first ever Tattoo Convention, TATTOO JAM!  You may recall that Skin Deep did a HUGE feature on us a while back, even devoting their cover to us.  We are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious event.  TATTOO JAM takes place next AUGUST and we will be playing on FRi 1st.  Full details are TBC, but it is at VENUE CYMRU in Llandudno.  Keep an eye on the TATTOO JAM WEBSiTE for updates

24th August All the recording for the album is now finished.  We have a tentative title (not telling you yet) that resulted from the last session.  Next week we start mixing and, already, we have several parties who want to get involved regarding it's release.  You can read more on my brand new blog which is at http://blog.spitlikethis.com

19th August We have been promoted to the ANGELS & DEMONS Stage at the HARD ROCK HELL FESTiVAL playing alongside the likes of Zodiac Mindwarp, Vixen, Girlschool, Lauren Harris, Wolf.  We are the only unsigned band to be on the stage!

2nd August Gig Alert! We are Headlining the first ever ZOMBEASTABLE ZOMBiE FESTiVAL at CRAWLEY INN, OXON on SAT 3rd NOV!  There are 10 bands (full list on our Tour Page) playing from 1pm 'til Midnight, there is then a DJ until 3am.  Tickets are just £20 and it's an All Ages event.

2nd August The bulk of the album recording is now done with the final 4 days happening in a couple of weeks (starting Aug 20th).  Mixing of the album has been bought forward to the end of August (29th onward) meaning that, by the first week of Sept, the album will be recorded and mixed with only the Mastering to go!  This has meant that we have had to cancel two gigs (30th Aug in Norwich and 31st Aug in Ipswich) but the album has to take priority!

2nd August Gig Alert! We are playing a BiKER FESTiVAL in OXFORDSHiRE on SAT 8th SEPTEMBER - and that is all the info we have at the moment!  Keep an eye on our TOUR PAGE for updates!

9th July Gig Cancellations: Unfortunately, two gigs have to be cancelled.  The first was the one on JULY 20th at THE NiGHT OWL, GLOS.  This is due to flooding at the venue.  The second was AUG 31st at THE JUNCTiON in BRiSTOL.  This gig has been replaced by another though (see above), so not all bad news!

5th July In preparation of our studio dates next week, I have just updated the LYRiCS page to include all of the songs that will be on the album.  A teaser, if you will!

5th June Album Update!  We went into the studio yesterday to record live demo's of every possible contender for our album.  20 tracks were recorded and a further 4 demos were taken in on a CD.  We then all sat, listened and decided which songs would make it and which would end up as b-sides one day.  And we think - sorry, we KNOW - we have come up with a killer selection.  So, in no particular order, we have:

17th May Album update... We are pretty damn excited to announce that we start recording our debut studio album on JUNE 12th.  We will be in the studio on 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 20th then for a run in July 9th-18th with the last few dates being 23rd, 24th & 25th.  Unfortunately, the July dates mean that we have to pull out of the GUiLFEST but, the album HAS to come first.

We are using famed producer PAUL TiPLER to record us.  We believe he has what it takes to capture the essence of SLT - something that has lacked in previous recordings.  Paul is best known for his work with 80's Matchbox Disaster, Placebo, Elastica, Idlewild, PWEI and loads more.  We will keep this site updated with more news and info when it happens!

2nd Apr We are featured in this month's edition of ETO - Erotic Trade Only - Magazine.  The article focuses around our notorious SMELLYOURMUM.COM brand as we are looking to get our merch into Adult Stores around the country!  From the article: "Adult retailers looking for something a little different are being targeted by smellyourmum.com, the brand set up by members of UK rock band, SPiT LiKE THiS.".  ETO is only available to members of the Adult Industry.

27th Mar Just posted up a NEW ViDEO on our YouTube SPiT LiKE THiS TV channel.  We had a whole show professionally recorded by G-Dog Productions a couple of months back for a possible live DVD - we asked for a Teaser trailer and, what we got back in return was a full video to one of our songs, "Rebel Lover"!  So, it is now online for you to enjoy!

6th Mar We have finally confirmed The Producer who will record our long-awaited debut studio album!  We are now officially in pre-production and should start the actual recording in July/August.  We are really excited as he is someone with a FANTASTiC track record.  Just check out some of these credits; Placebo, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Elastica, Stereolab, Idlewild, Moby - I could go on!  This is it.

3rd Mar We have given away so many thousands of stickers, we thought it was about time we started a STiCKER GALLERY!  Some of you have been very creative with them - we want to see the best (and the worst...) you have to offer! 

2nd Mar Gig Alert!  We are back at HOMELANDS STADiUM, ASHFORD, KENT for ASHFORD ROCKS on FRi JULY 6th 2007.  This is likely to be one of our last gigs before we hole ourselves up in the studio to record our album so, be there!  NO AGE LiMiTS SHOW!

25th Feb Had a fantastic photo session yesterday.  Have to wait a couple of weeks for the final results but have uploaded a sneak preview in our GALLERY

Oh, and after this shoot, CYNDi was driving home, topless covered in blood when his car caught fire. So, he pulled into a petrol station which was promptly closed down, along with the nearby McDonalds. So everyone poured out to see Cyndi topless and covered in blood. Then the police came. And then the fire brigade... Only in the SPiT LiKE THiS Universe, eh?!

20th Feb Gig Alert!  We are playing at BRANNiGANS in CRAWLEY, WEST SUSSEX on THURS 22nd MARCH 2007.  Entry is just £2 before 9.30 (£3 after) and doors open at 9.

20th Feb Myself (ZiON) and ViKKi have been asked to present a Pilot for an old MTV style music show which will be broadcast as part of the O2 Network.  Our section of the show (20 mins out of 1 hour) will be called SPiT LiKE THiS TV and, if the Pilot is picked up, it will be viewable by a potential ONE BiLLiON people!

15th Feb Festival Alert!  We are playing at the inaugral 1st FESTiVAL in Wick, South Wales on SUN AUG 5th 2007.  Billed as Wales's largest festival, this is going to become a yearly event.  Some BiG bands lined up for this day, so keep an eye on our site as the details come rolling in.

14th Feb Gig Alert!  We are playing at THE OLD FiRE STATiON in BOURNEMOUTH on WEDS 14th MARCH as part of the Spectacular Rock Cabaret!  Starting at 9pm (ending at 2am), there will be 4 bands plus DJ's and other performances.  Should be some fun to be had!  Best of all, costs just £4 entry.

7th Feb We got ourselves a new gig bus yesterday.  Not brand new, you understand, it is, in fact, an ex-special needs bus.  Quite apt, really, so we have decided to keep the CAUTiON: SPECiAL NEEDS CHiLDREN ON BOARD sticker on it \m/  Our newest acquisition is called the SLuT BUS - all those that enter it must bring it a gift to decorate the inside of it with.  Only tacky, kitchy stuff, mind...

9th December 2006 Waiting to see our new Guitar Player, CYNDi ROTT?  Well, we don't anticipate updating the site with his Profile, Gallery, Bio etc until 2007 so, until that time, you will have to make do with THiS ViDEO...  We filmed CYNDi at rehearsal last weekend just blasting out a few short solo's, which I then cobbled together into a video.  As you can hear, he fits right in!

6th December 2006 Gig Announcement: We will be playing with RED STAR REBELS at LiQUiD & ENVY, REDHiLL on MARCH 11th 2007.  The venue has two sections - downstairs is where the gig action is, upstairs is where we will all be hanging out when not playing.  Tickets are £6 for the show only or £10 for the show and to join us upstairs for a meet 'n' greet!
